The Collages of Malcolm Holmes
These are samples of colleges I've made. All of them have been done with the same pair of scissors, no exacto knives are used. The pictures are all from a variety of magazines which are pasted down with glue sticks then laminated. Born and raised in Portland, Maine, where I work full time and complete these projects in my spare time. A lot of my work is elaborate hidden picture puzzles. I hope you enjoy checking them out.
Where's Norm?
The Cat Collage
This is a cat themed collage. Hidden in this collage are 2 hammocks, 2 bales of hay, an avocado, and Bugs Bunny. Prints: $100.
The Dog Collage
9/11 Collage
This is a big collage (29" x 12") that took 3 months to complete. I couldn't guess how many images are on it in total, because every cell phone, television and what have you has been cut out and replaced with a new image. Hidden in this picture are a flying bat, 2 folding knives, an astronaut, a Smurf, the late Amy Winehouse and 2 pictures of Condoleeza Rice. Prints: $150
Where's Ellen? Collage
This collage does not have a border like the others. It was originally an Irish flag, I added too many other images however. The picture of the man and the bear riding in the truck was not altered. That is in fact a man and a bear riding together in Idaho. Hidden in this collage is Ellen, a parrot and an airplane. Prints: $75
Elephant Collage
This was the first collage I've made in awhile. It is fairly basic but this was the first collage I made for this website. Hidden in this collage is an owl, a pyramid and a four-leaf clover. Prints: $75
